Kirsty Walton painted by Dutch Bihary at the Australian Body Art Awards Face Painting Jam 2013
I quite often get asked how I started face painting and how I manage to do faces that are fast yet have fantastic impact. Simply put, if it wasn't for the likes of people like Heather Green, owner of Silly Farm Supplies or Mark Reid, who is know for his fabulous line work and cat/tiger faces, sharing their knowledge with other face painters then I don't know where I would be now.
I have also taken workshops with Australia's very own Lynne Jamieson from Lynne's FaceMagic, Annie Reynolds, Maria Mormile, Jenny Saunders, Wendy Fantasia, Lisa Maree and all the way from the USA Dutch Bihary and most recently Olga Meleca from Moldova.
Each of these artists have their own way of putting their designs together, creating awesome effects and presenting their work for the camera.
Their work is not always a five minute face, but you pick up tips and tricks along the way to incorporate in to your own work and effectively you then produce a better end product for you clients.
The Australian Body Art Awards are on again starting the 28th March 2014. I have booked my ticket and can't wait to go again!
